Welcome to Chinese
There are two "streams" in the Chinese programme, language and culture. The language stream includes a course on Business Chinese in addition to the core language programmes. The culture courses, which are taught in English, are diverse and reflect the rich cultural legacy of China. They include civilisation, literature, and film. There is also a course on Chinese linguistics, taught in English. Students are encouraged to study both language and culture. Graduates of the Programme are well qualified for positions in sectors such as tourism, diplomatic service, teaching, and international business.
